The Gospel Commission

Because Jesus has been given all authority, he instructs His followers to make disciples both in our city and all over the world (Matt. 28:18-20). Our aim as a church is to identify where God has purposefully placed us, and how can we share the good news of Jesus with those around us. Below are local, like-minded organizations that we pray for and partner with in the work of mission.

Local Missions

YOUTH LIFE FOUNDATION OF RICHMOND

The Youth Life Foundation of Richmond is committed to nurturing the child, strengthening the family, and rebuilding the community. They believe that early support for children helps to ensure their successful future.

EAST END PREGNANCY CENTER

The EEPC partners with local women to help them decide their options in pregnancy. They offer private consultation, counseling, classes, material support, and other community referrals in order to ensure they will be supported in the decisions they make.

step richmond (jobs for life)

STEP is a Christian non-profit dedicated to mobilizing the suburban church to action in the lives of their urban neighbors. STEP focuses on the root causes of poverty within the target area. Education, employment, and Christian discipleship remain the focus.

International Missions

Southern Baptist Conservatives of Virginia (SBCV)

We partner with the SBCV in an effort to see churches strengthened, mobilized, and planted throughout the state of Virginia.

International Missions is the heartbeat of WEBC. Several of our folks work for the IMB, have been missionaries serving in different parts of the world, or are currently serving in the work of missions.
