20 Days of Prayer
For the next 20 days, we invite you to join us in prayer and fasting for the Lord’s direction for our next season and location. We aren’t simply praying for a place to meet, but for the Lord to continue to work in our congregation as we seek to grow into who God wants us to be for His glory and our joy. Prayer reminds us of the unity that we have in Jesus and His binding us together in the peace that He’s purchased for us.

We are seeking the Father together over the next 20 days to lead us to our new church location. This prayer-guide, however, is more than a simple “God, answer us” request. It’s actually a personal prayer guide where we each ask God to “FILL ME,” “LEAD ME,” and “SHOW ME.”
Praying “Father, FILL ME,” we are each asking Him to confront areas where we are not like Him. In Praying, “Father LEAD ME,” we want Him to lead us in seeing the lostness around us and the joy of sharing the gospel. When praying “Father, SHOW ME,” we are requesting that He show us His activity in our past and present that we may trust and submit to whatever He asks.
We know that, because of Jesus, the Lord will hear us as we pray to Him through the next 20 days and He will direct our steps! Thank you for praying and for supporting us. We are grateful for you and we look forward to what the Lord will do in our church in the coming days and weeks!

Jonah and The Justice of The Cross These are our only two options, because God is just – either you take the punishment for your sin, which is everlasting torment in the place called hell, or Christ takes it for you at the cross. Christians choose the cross. The place where mercy and justice intersect. The cross – the ultimate proof that God truly, deeply, greatly loves sinners like you and me.
Trading Glory For Shame The shame of my own sinful exposure, and the temptation to revel in the exposure of others, still taints my days with the threat of shame. I am always tempted to sit in the shade of the Laodicean Church, pronouncing my strength and wealth, yet unaware that apart from Christ I am wretched, pitiful, poor, blind, and naked (Rev 3:17). But the grace of my Saviour reaches into the depths of even these shadows.
Why Reading Books You Disagree With Helps You Grow One of the most devastating effects of the culture wars happening all around us, especially on online platforms like social media, is that we are often told that we need to be protected from the world of ideas or that reading something outside of our own beliefs might lead us down a path of destruction. While this is understandable to some extent, this siloing effect is dangerous to the life of the mind and treats the very concept of understanding our neighbors as a bridge too far.
