This Sunday, Rayshawn Graves will be continuing in our series in the book of Haggai . This week’s passage will be Haggai 2:10-19 . Last week’s sermon can be heard here. If you’re planning to watch online check us out this week on Facebook Live Sunday morning at 10:30am
We want to encourage you to take a moment this week as you prepare for our time together on Sunday by reading and praying through the passages.
Consider thinking through these four questions as you read and pray.
How can I adore God from this passage?
What sin does this passage lead me to confess?
How does this passage help me to thank Jesus?
From this passage, in what ways can I ask God's Spirit to help me this week?
As COVID numbers continue to increase in our area, the elders are continuing to monitor the updates by the CDC and our Governor concerning precautions for our gatherings. At this time, our services will continue to be mask-optional. We will continue to provide updates if things change going forward.
We do ask that if you or anyone in your household has recently been ill or is currently experiencing symptoms of illness, please stay at home. By doing this, you will be loving others well and protecting the most vulnerable among us.
Please be mindful of the comfort levels of others during our gatherings.
Hand sanitizers and disinfectant wipes will be stationed throughout the building
Got Prayer?
If there's something you'd like for our leaders and our church to be praying with you about, fill out the prayer request form.
Evidences of God’s Grace
The elders would love to hear about and celebrate the ways that God’s grace is working in your life or how you’ve witnessed God’s grace in the life of other members of WEBC. Let us know here.
Weekly Resources
Here are some resources that our elders recommend checking out this week. Please feel free to use them as discipleship opportunities to discuss with one another.
Ten Truths About A Liar It is vital that you and I rightly discern and evaluate Satan. He is not to be trifled with nor buffooned, but in Christ, his back was utterly broken on Calvary’s hill. Therefore, it is important we establish a few implications that help us to discern the person and activity of Satan:
Smartphones and Fallen Natures Why has access to all these information tools not lifted us as a society? Because the information we most need, knowledge of God and man, is continually suppressed. Paul goes on to say that when we suppress the truth in unrighteousness, we become vain and futile in our thinking, and our foolish hearts are darkened.
The Scrolling Soul Scrolling discourages deep delight. Scrolling, by nature, keeps us on the surface, always consuming tasty treats but rarely nourished by anything satisfying. The scrolling soul spends countless hours searching what the sort of satisfaction that can only be found in Christ.
