This Sunday, Rayshawn Graves will be concluding our series in the book of Haggai . This week’s passage will be Haggai 2:20-23 . Last week’s sermon can be heard here. If you’re planning to watch online check us out this week on Facebook Live Sunday morning at 10:30am
We want to encourage you to take a moment this week as you prepare for our time together on Sunday by reading and praying through the passages.
Consider thinking through these four questions as you read and pray.
How can I adore God from this passage?
What sin does this passage lead me to confess?
How does this passage help me to thank Jesus?
From this passage, in what ways can I ask God's Spirit to help me this week?
As COVID numbers continue to increase in our area, the elders are continuing to monitor the updates by the CDC and our Governor concerning precautions for our gatherings. At this time, our services will continue to be mask-optional. We will continue to provide updates if things change going forward.
We do ask that if you or anyone in your household has recently been ill or is currently experiencing symptoms of illness, please stay at home. By doing this, you will be loving others well and protecting the most vulnerable among us.
Please be mindful of the comfort levels of others during our gatherings.
Hand sanitizers and disinfectant wipes will be stationed throughout the building
Got Prayer?
If there's something you'd like for our leaders and our church to be praying with you about, fill out the prayer request form.
Evidences of God’s Grace
The elders would love to hear about and celebrate the ways that God’s grace is working in your life or how you’ve witnessed God’s grace in the life of other members of WEBC. Let us know here.
Weekly Resources
Here are some resources that our elders recommend checking out this week. Please feel free to use them as discipleship opportunities to discuss with one another.
Keep Your Small Group Facing Outward When group members are encouraged to keep their eyes and ears open for new people who need a small-group home, it helps us keep the mission of the church at the forefront: we are disciples of Christ Jesus who are making disciples, who then make disciples. In our small groups, we are not trying to seal ourselves off from others; rather, we are pointing to the immeasurable gift of Christ, who makes strangers part of God’s family (Eph. 2:19).
What Does It Mean To Pray Your Will be Done? God’s will, by which He works out all things according to His purpose, is a wonderful comfort to Christian believers. Nothing in your life is outside of God’s purpose or beyond His control.
God Scares Me To Death Through it all, you don’t want terror to be a dominating or last word. Instead, the fullness of the triune God has been displayed to us in Jesus Christ. “For in him the whole fullness of deity dwells bodily” (Col 2:9). Keep turning toward him, whether that process is clumsy, awkward, brief, or a bit chilly.
