This week we will be meeting at Veritas School (3400 Brook Rd. Richmond, VA 23227)

This Sunday, Rayshawn will be continuing in our Gospel Culture series, with “A Culture of Peace” . This week’s passage will be Ephesians 2:14-16 . Last week’s sermon can be heard here. If you’re planning to watch online check us out this week on Facebook Live Sunday morning at 10:30am
We want to encourage you to take a moment this week as you prepare for our time together on Sunday by reading and praying through the passages.
Consider thinking through these four questions as you read and pray.
How can I adore God from this passage?
What sin does this passage lead me to confess?
How does this passage help me to thank Jesus?
From this passage, in what ways can I ask God's Spirit to help me this week?
As COVID numbers continue to increase in our area, the elders are continuing to monitor the updates by the CDC and our Governor concerning precautions for our gatherings. At this time, our services will continue to be mask-optional. We will continue to provide updates if things change going forward.
We do ask that if you or anyone in your household has recently been ill or is currently experiencing symptoms of illness, please stay at home. By doing this, you will be loving others well and protecting the most vulnerable among us.
Please be mindful of the comfort levels of others during our gatherings.
Hand sanitizers and disinfectant wipes will be stationed throughout the building
Got Prayer?
If there's something you'd like for our leaders and our church to be praying with you about, fill out the prayer request form.
Evidences of God’s Grace
The elders would love to hear about and celebrate the ways that God’s grace is working in your life or how you’ve witnessed God’s grace in the life of other members of WEBC. Let us know here.
Weekly Resources
Here are some resources that our elders recommend checking out this week. Please feel free to use them as discipleship opportunities to discuss with one another.
Why Good Theology Matters In Prayer So, sadly, there can be bad or wrong prayer. The point is that knowing who God is and what he’s like as revealed in Scripture is very important as we approach God in prayer. In other words, good theology matters in prayer.
Christian Virtue Strengthens the Social Justice Cause But gospel-driven compassion doesn’t conceptually refashion or normalize our brokenness in vain attempts to evade categories of sin. True justice isn’t inclusive of sin, because sin leads to moral disorder, and moral disorder is where injustice thrives.
The Gospel Creates Conviction God wants us to be convinced of his love for us. He wants us to be convinced of the life to come in his presence. He wants us to be convinced that living for him is the only life worth living because he’s the only King worth serving and the only God worth worshiping because he’s the only Savior who can and has done anything about our mess.
