We want to encourage you to take a moment this week as you prepare for our time together on Sunday by reading and praying through the passages.
Consider thinking through these four questions as you read and pray.
How can I adore God from this passage?
What sin does this passage lead me to confess?
How does this passage help me to thank Jesus?
From this passage, in what ways can I ask God's Spirit to help me this week?
As COVID numbers continue to increase in our area, the elders are continuing to monitor the updates by the CDC and our Governor concerning precautions for our gatherings. At this time, our services will continue to be mask-optional. We will continue to provide updates if things change going forward.
We do ask that if you or anyone in your household has recently been ill or is currently experiencing symptoms of illness, please stay at home. By doing this, you will be loving others well and protecting the most vulnerable among us.
Please be mindful of the comfort levels of others during our gatherings.

Jackie Hill Perry on The Power of Words Jackie Hill Perry taught a message at TGC’s 2021 Women’s Conference titled “Steadfast Speech: A Mighty Little Tongue.” James chapter 3 formed the backdrop for her admonition to carefully control the tongue by the power of the Spirit. Perry taught that the tongue is accountable, the tongue is powerful, and the tongue is inconsistent.
What Makes Jesus' Commission So Great Anyway? God has always had a worldwide plan; global missions isn’t just a New Testament idea. When God calls Abraham, he didn’t just have one man or one family or even one nation in mind; he was thinking about the entire earth. God’s plan for blessing his people through the redemption of his Son has always had a missional thrust to it. God’s mission has always had a global target from day one. That’s the beginning, and the end looks sovereignly similar.
After Withdrawl, Afghan Christians Still Need Your Prayers While a great systematic persecution has not yet arisen in Afghanistan, the church is certainly in fear. Threats have begun. Persecution is expected. Pray that, just as in the days of the early church, believers who have been dispersed would go about preaching the Word (Acts 8:4) with the result that there would be “much joy” in the cities (Acts 8:8).
